Cap'n Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters for life!

They filmed it in my neighborhood (Old Towne Orange California). For what seemed like six months I dealt with closed roads, no mail delivery, torn up sidewalks and zero parking. As far as I’m concerned Tom Hanks still owes me a cup of coffee.

This movie was amazing. An instant and enduring family favorite. Then, one night I watched the alternate cut with the deleted scenes… 🤯 WOW. Two completely different vibes that we’d never have watched a second time.

It was fun, and I got lucky and acquired a copy of their 45 rpm record with picture sleeve. Very cool, Playtone label and all.

A great film your Mom and Dad would love. One of my favorites. I am Spartacus

I loved it and watched it over and over again--what a great group making you smile .

I adore this flick! One of my favorites since it was released. Tunes are incredibly catchy and all my iPod's have the Soundtrack on them. Great acting and seeing the movie brings me back to a simpler more fun time. Thanks for posting.

This has to be the most underrated movie of all time.

Tom had great attention to detail: I noticed that the band's instruments were Danelectros which were lower end, starter ( Sears ) instruments, When the band become bigger with their hit "Thing U Doo," they stepped up to Fender gear...

As someone who’s spent their whole life living in Erie PA, and playing drums in bands since 1986, this movie instantly became a favorite of mine.

This was possibly one of the most perfect movies ever made, that didn't get the attention it deserved. If, like me, you're a student of "one hit wonder" bands, you know what I mean. And I'm 52 and still have a huge crush on my girl Liv Tyler. 😁

The thing that was good about Tom Hanks directing was his character was kind of in charge of the band anyway so the power dynamic was already there.

The Bass Player is Mark’s father in Empire Records. Faye is Corey’s aunt.

Tom Hanks, directed this movie brilliantly. I saw in the movies, but never realized that they were really playing the instruments, and singing. I love this movie. Hats off to Tom Hanks and the cast.
